Ultra-Low Temperature Performance: R-23 is commonly used as the low-stage refrigerant in cascade refrigeration systems. It offers exceptional cooling capacity at extremely low temperatures, making it ideal for laboratories, pharmaceuticals, cryogenics, and semiconductor manufacturing environments.

Non-Ozone Depleting Refrigerant: As a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC), R-23 has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0), providing an environmentally safer alternative to older CFC-based refrigerants such as R-13.
